Milford Sound Elite Extended Experience:

Take off up and over Lake Te Anau to discover the northern scenery of World Heritage Fiordland National Park. Milford Sound is well-known for its startling beauty and standout features. This flight takes you deep into the heart of Fiordland’s biggest mountains. View Sutherland Falls, Mitre Peak and towering, ice-capped mountains from above. This is the remarkable place that Rudyard Kipling dubbed the Eighth Wonder of the World.

Our Milford Sound lite – Extended helicopter trip includes 2 wilderness landings. Land at a remote and stunning alpine lake, then experience a second landing on an ancient glacier. Very few have ever had the opportunity to stand here!

Your return journey will take you along the Murchison Mountains, a special conservation area paramount in the management of the endangered, flightless Takahe.

Note: All glacier landings are weather dependent. An alternate landing at the pilots’ discretion can be made if the glacier is not safe for landing at the time.
