Absolutely! Doubtful Sound (Patea) is a must see location in Fiordland. Although less visited than Milford Sound it offers a rich & diverse landscape that will leave you speechless. A nature lover’s dream destination you can spot Rare Fiordland Crested Penguins, New Zealand Fur Seals and playful Bottlenose and Dusky Dolphins.

What is the best way to see Doubtful Sound?

What happens if the weather is bad on the day?

We will carry out a weather check on the day of your trip. If we cannot fly due to the weather conditions we will reschedule the trip and/or offer an alternative route.

Do I have to pay extra fees to land in the National Park?

All our flights & packages include National Park Landing Concession Fees

Will we have the helicopter to ourselves on the trip?

A minimum number of 2 passengers is required for a flight. Flights are shared unless specified. If you would like a private flight, please advise the office at the time of booking to discuss pricing.
