Successful Hunting Season

Both recreational and Department of Conservation hunters contribute to the eradication of pests in Fiordland National Park. These specially trained and permitted dogs can’t wait to get into the helicopter and appear to enjoy the flight out to the remote islands off the Fiordland coast. Hunting dogs play a large part in helping the hunters locate animals, working towards pest free sanctuaries for native species.
